Grilled Veal Chops

Serves 4

Preparation and Cooking 20 minutes

  • 4 veal chops
  • salt
  • melted butter

1. Take the veal chops and pat off the excess moisture with kitchen paper towels.
2. Coat the chops with melted butter.
3. Pre-heat the grill over a medium heat for 3-5 minutes. Do not add oil or fat whilst it is pre-heating. When it has heated for about 3 minutes, sprinkle a few drops of water over the centre. If they “spit” on the surface and evaporate almost immediately, the grill is ready to use. If not, heat a little longer.
4. Place the veal chops on the grill and season.
5. Grill the veal chops for 5 minutes on each side or as desired.
6. Serve on a bed of spinach with cream. Garnish with round slices of hard-boiled egg and fried bread croutons.
